Adilabad: Police Arrest Four In Attempt to Murder Case Related To Love Affair

Adilabad: Mavala police of Adilabad on Saturday arrested four persons for attempting to murder a man who was in love with the daughter of corporator U. Raghupathi, DSP V. Umender said.

The DSP said that Raghupathi had engaged the contract killers for the purpose. Raghupathi who belongs to the BC community was reportedly not happy with his daughter in love with a Dalit youth. They were in a relationship for a few years.

The police officer said that Raghupathi and his wife Arundhathi, the main accused, were absconding.

Vamshi suffered severe injuries to his head when he was hit by a vehicle when he was riding a bike at Mavala on December 18. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad. Mavala police filed a case against Raghupathi following the complaint lodged by the family members of the victim.

The four arrested persons were identified as Chowhan Ravi, G. Ashok, Sheik Dilshad of Adilabad town and V. Raju of Mediguda of Jainad.
