Hyderabad: The Habeebnagar police cracked a case of theft in a temple within an hour of the incident being reported, and arrested one Sunil Chawan, who has a crime record. His arrest helped the police crack another another temple theft on Wednesday. Police recovered the stolen property intact including cash and silver ornaments, all worth ₹60,000 from him. and seized the stolen cash and silver ornaments worth ₹60,000 from him.
On Thursday morning, police received a complaint, following which CCTV footage of the temple was analysed. The pictures were shared with the neighbouring Nampally police, who arrested Chawan. During questioning, he admitted to have robbed another temple on Wednesday. Police produced him before a court which sent him to judicial remand.
