Hyderabad: Acting on a tip-off, Gachibowli police arrested five individuals in connection with drug peddling and confiscated 7.5 kg of ganja, six cell phones and other things all worth Rs 4.95 lakh from their possession. The accused identified as Kalapathi Neethu Bhai, 45, Kalapathi Simran, 20, Kalapathi Mamtha Bhai, 55, Surekha, 40, and Kalapathi Munu Singh, 53.
Police mentioned that Neethu Bhai has a history of six previous NDPS arrests and was arrested by Golconda police. After enlarged on bail, she along with other accused persons continued the same and they were all procuring ganja from sources in Odisha and Araku valley, selling it higher price resulting in illegal gains, the police said.
