Shameerpet wine shop staff robbed: Three masked suspects’ movements traced
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police investigating the armed robbery at Shameerpet, have traced the movements of three masked suspects for up to five km from Uddamarri village where the offense took place late on Monday night. After that, they could not get any leads on the suspects’ movements.
Special teams formed to detect the case had been scouting the village and
surrounding villages for clues but in vain. The village bordering the
Medchal Malkajgiri and Yadadri Bhongir districts, has very few CCTVs making
the cops’ job more difficult.
Technical teams are filtering huge mobile tower dumps to find any clues from
the mobile locations in the village at the time of the offense. Meanwhile,
as Uddamarri is a bordering village, Cyberabad police have also alerted
Rachakonda police to look for suspicious persons in the Yadadri Bhongir
district.
Prima facie police have also ruled out an insider role after grilling the
victims Jaipal Reddy and Balakishan. As they have told police that the
robbers spoke in Hindi, police are also probing if an interstate gang is
involved in the offense.
On Monday night, three robbers armed with firearms and sticks attacked the
victims and robbed a cash bag containing Rs 2.08 lakh, from them. The
robbers also opened fire at the victims, but the victims escaped unhurt. The
victims were working in a wine shop in Uddamarri village.
