Basti: Man slits dad's throat, tries to fix it with glue
Lucknow: In a shockingly bizarre incident, a son slit his father’s throat, then tried to stick it back with Fevikwik and then fled locking the father in the house. The father was rescued later by neighbours and is now in hospital in a critical condition. According to police reports, the incident took place in Dariyapur Jangal Tola village in Basti district where the accused, Jagdish Misra, was living with his father Ramdev Misra, 65, a retired railway employee.
On Thursday night, Jagdish apparently had an altercation with his father over money. He put on the music system on high volume-apparently to drown the father's screams-and then slit his throat. He probably regretted his act because he immediately used Fevikwik to seal the cut throat back.
Jagdish then bolted the house from outside and fled. Several hours later when the electricity was disrupted and the invertor battery got drained, the music system stopped and the neighbours heard the father wailing. The village head was informed who called in the police and broke open the door to find the old man in a critical condition.
