Auto driver dies after brutal attack for refusing to give Rs 100
HYDERABAD: A footpath dweller assaulted Shaik Amjad, a 62-year-old autorickshaw driver from Humayunnagar, for refusing to give Rs 100. Amjad succumbed to his while undergoing treatment at Osmania hospital.
According to police, on Saturday Amjad dropped a woman at Osmania dental hospital, for which she gave him a Rs 200 demonination note towards the Rs 140 fare. As he did not have change, she asked a footpath dweller. She then paid Amjad the fare and left. The footpath dweller demanded Rs 100 from Amjad. When he refused, the accused punched him on his face and head. Amjad collapsed on the road and was taken to hospital.
