A case has been registered at Alur police station.
The student was interrogated by the RPF in connection with a theft case, on Saturday, before he was found dead. The deceased, R. Mouleeshwaran (22) of Chinnakavanam village near Ponneri, was a second-year student at a government college in the locality.
HASSAN: A man was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Monday in a forest area in Arkalgudu taluk of Hassan. The deceased was identified by the police as Chikkegowda (57), a resident of Yagathi village in Arkalgudu. He was a retired driver attached to the irrigation department. Senior police officials visited the spot following which a case was registered.
In another case, the body of 38-year-old Dinesh was found in a farm pond at Marasu village in Alur taluk of the district. The deceased was a resident of Gekaravalli in Alur. It is suspected that Dinesh might have been murdered and his body dumped at the farm pond. A case has been registered at Alur police station.
