We Will Show You How to Make City Safe For Citizens: Kejriwal
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal demanded that Lieutenant-General should resign owning responsibility for the deteriorating law and order situation in the city. Make way for someone who can provide safety and security to the people of Dehi, he tweeted.
Kejriwal posted the tweet following the daylight robbery at gunpoint at the tunnel near Pragati Bhavan yesterday.
Four men on two bikes robbed a taxi and its passengers at gunpoint and fled with Rs 2 lakh cash. The tunnel has 16 security guards but no CCTV cameras are installed. The public works department officials said that they had installed the cameras but could not confirm how many are operational.
Following this incident, Kejriwal said that if the central government is unable to make Delhi safe, it should hand over maintaining law and order to their government. “We will show u how to make a city safe for its citizens,” the tweet added.
