Rajahmundry: 2 boys killed by mother's lover
Rajahmundry: A youngster killed two boys by pushing them into Polavaram Right Main Canal to continue his alleged illicit relationship with their mother at Dippakayalapadu village of Koyyalagudem mandal in West Godavari. According to Jangared-dygudem DSP Ch. Murali Krishna, one Prasanth, 10, was studying Class V and his younger brother Vicky, 8, was studying Class III at a local school at Dippakalayapadu village.
One K. Ravi Sekhar, studying B.Sc second year hailing from the same village allegedly developed illicit relationship with the mother of two boys. As she was objecting to continue the relationship saying that the children were grown up, Ravi Sekhar conspired to kill the two boys. Accordingly, on July 23 morning, he took the two boys to Itukalapadu of Kannapuram panchayat with a promise to show them Pattiseema. After spending some time there, he took them near Polavaram Right Main Canal and pushed them into it.
The boys’ father K. Chinna Rao lodged a complaint with the Koyyalagudem police about the two missing boys. Police booked a missing case and started investigation. In the course of investigation, police questioned Ravi Sekhar on suspicion and the latter confessed to his crime. Police booked him under sections 302, 364 and 261 of IPC and arrested him.
