VISHAKHAPATNAM: A couple lodged a complaint with ASR district collector Sumit Kumar against Addateegala sub-inspector on Saturday.
According to local reports, the couple Venkateswara Rao and Rajeswari have a property dispute with their relatives. They complained to the collector that the SI barged into their house for the second time on Saturday and threatened to kill them in an encounter.
The couple accused the SI of also attacking and causing injuries to them after they rejected a deal offered by their relatives to settle the dispute over property inherited from their elders.
The couple later said the collector has asked senior police officials to probe the incident and do justice.
