Kanpur: A 10-year-old boy from a village in Kanpur was hospitalised after a 16-year-old girl tried to force him into having sex with him.
The minor girl sweet-talked the boy, who stayed in her neighbourhood in Kuhalli village of Bidhnu area, into his house and tried to have sex with him.
The boy sustained serious injuries in his private parts in the attempt and started to bleed.
The boy is undergoing the treatment at the Hallet Hospital in Kanpur.
SSP Kanpur Shalabh Mathur said that it was difficult to proceed with the investigation as both the victim and the accused are minors, and were yet to decide upon the sections of IPC that was to be charged against the girl.
According to Legal experts, a case can be lodged under the section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
