Telangana HC imposes fine on BRS MLA Sunitha Reddy
HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court on Tuesday imposed a Rs10,000 fine on BRS MLA Gongidi Sunitha Mahendar Reddy of Alair for not replying for four years in a petition filed in 2019 against her election. Justice M. Laxman on Tuesday adjourned the hearing to October 3.
Her rival, Saini Satish Kumar, had claimed that she had suppressed data about her properties in her 2018 Assembly election affidavit. The petitioner died in the meantime, and he was substituted by Boreddy Ayodhya Reddy, another contest.
In another case, Justice Laxman rejected the application of Tungathurthy BRS MLA Gadari Kishore Kumar to allow his counter affidavit in the election petition filed against him by Addanki Dayakar in 2019.
Earlier too, the court had refused to accept his petition. The court adjourned the case to October 3.
