HYDERABAD: A woman’s death, which was initially reported as a suicide is now being investigated as one of murder by the Sanathnagar police.
The victim, Shyamala, 48, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her house in Jinkalawada Basti. Sanathnagar inspector G. Balraj said her husband Narasimha had reported finding Shyamala unconscious when he returned from a function on Tuesday.
Police were called and observed injuries on Shyamala’s throat.
Sanathnagar sub-inspector Radha Krishna said the role of the husband was being suspected as the couple used to quarrel over land issues. The children and the couple’s relatives said Narasimha used to threaten her with death. Police said an investigation was underway.
