Butcher Murdered in Broad Daylight in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A 19-year-old butcher was brutally stabbed to death in broad daylight in Santoshnagar Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the victim, Mohammed Naveed Gaffar Qureshi, was inflicted multiple stab injuries near Ghousia masjid in Santoshnagar and his body was left lying in a pool of blood.
The incident occurred around 3.10 pm when the suspect Mohammed Moiz, along with two others, called Naveed near the mosque, attacked him with daggers and fled on their bike, police said.
Naveed’s father Mohammed Ghani Qureshi, who runs Naveed Mutton Shop in Santoshnagar, received a call from Mohammed Faizuddin, a bike mechanic, at 3.30 who informed him that his son was killed by Moiz and others, said P. Shiva Chandra, Santoshngar police inspector.
Doctors at Owaisi hospital, where he was rushed to, said that Naveed had died due to excess bleeding, police said.
Naveed, the only son of Ghani, had a few months back, along with Moiz, and two others, attacked a person with daggers in Shalibanda and were arrested by the police.
Following the attack, there were disputes between Moiz and Naveed, who was reportedly murdered because he was against the attack.
A case of murder has been registered under section 302 and two suspects have reportedly been taken into custody. The victim’s body was shifted to Osmania general hospital for post-mortem.
