Hyderabad: A 23-year-old school bus attendant, who sustained severe head injuries after she accidentally fell under the wheels while boarding a school bus in Karkhana, succumbed at a private hospital on Thursday.
According to Karkhana police, the victim D. Jyoti, a bus attendant of Pallavi Model School, tried to board the bus when she slipped and came under the rear wheels of the vehicle. She suffered severe brain injuries and was rushed to a private hospital where the duty doctor declared her dead.
Police took the bus driver M. Santosh into custody and registered a rash and negligent driving case against him. The victim’s body has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Further probe is on.
