An APSRTC bus going towards Macharla from Guntur hit them.
A total of 672 pedestrians perished in road accidents in the first nine months of this year.
Guntur: A pillion rider died on the spot in a road accident at Dachepalli of Guntur district on Sunday. According to SI K. Anand, a 21-year-old youth Nallabothula Sai died on the spot and the bike rider escaped unhurt in the road accident at Dachepalli. He mentioned that Avula Venkateswarulu was driving the bike and Sai was the pillion while returning home after filling petrol.
An APSRTC bus going towards Macharla from Guntur hit them. Venkateswarlu escaped from coming under the wheels, but, Sai came under the wheels and died to death due to severe head and body injuries. The Dachepalli police shifted body to Gurajala area hospital for autopsy and started investigation by registering a case.
