Visakhapatnam: A 40-year-old farmer, P. Srinivasa Rao, was allegedly murdered by another person, who was reportedly in an inebriated condition, over a petty quarrel at Lothugedda village under Annavaram police station limits of Chintapalle mandal in Alluri Sitarama Raju district.
The accused, S. Dileep Kumar, had reportedly gone to Srinivasa Rao’s house and damaged the household articles. He later abused Srinivasa Rao’s wife Kumari and beat her up.
Rao and his wife lodged a complaint against Dileep following which the police registered a case. Dileep, who came to know about the case being filed against him, went to Rao’s house and allegedly stabbed Rao with a knife.
Rao was shifted to primary health centre at Lothugedda for first aid and later he died while being taken to Area Hospital at Narsipatnam. The police have registered a case against Dileep Kumar and launched a manhunt for him.
