HYDERABAD: The Pahadishareef police booked former Union minister P. Shiv Shankar’s son Dr. P Vinay Kumar for allegedly assaulting a group of men over a land dispute, with the help of hired goons. A case was also registered against a group of villagers for allegedly trespassing into the disputed land, which is located in Mamidipally near Pahadishareef on the city outskirts.
According to police, Dr Kumar owns a house in Mamidipally and for years had a running dispute with a few locals. When he was trying to build a compound wall around the disputed land, villagers raised an objection.
To this, Dr Kumar allegedly brought hired men and assaulted the villagers. At least locals suffered bleeding injuries.
