Kakinada: A Bhavani devotee Gorrela Nani, 29, of Kokkirala Palli village in Yalamanchili mandal of West Godavari district died in a road accident near Achannapalem village of Nallajerla mandal in East Godavari district on Friday.
Five Bhavani devotees of the village completed their 40 days "Deeksha’" and started to go to Vijayawada to take a darshan of Goddess Kanaka Durga on Friday by walking. While they were going on the road , a speeding lorry hit them at Achannapalem village and Nani died on the spot.
Remaining four devotees were injured and they were admitted in Government Hospital at Eluru. Nallajerla assistant sub-inspector S.Srinivasa Rao registered a case.
