Inter-caste love affair: Man, his family given shoes lesson' by villagers in UP

Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a man and his entire family was garlanded with shoes and beaten up by villagers in Islamabad village in Bijnore district over his alleged love affair with a girl belonging to another caste.

The parents of the boy, his three brothers and one sister were dragged out of the house, beaten up in full public view and then paraded around the village wearing a garland of shoes.

According to reports, the boy had fallen in love with a girl of another caste a few months ago. The couple eloped about four months ago. Recently the younger son also fell in love with another girl of the village and this time, the families of the two girls joined hands to teach the family of the boys a lesson.
