Police Seize Rs. 56.48 Lakh Cash From Auto in Sirpur (T)

Adilabad: Sirpur (T) police seized the Rs.56.48 lakh in cash being transported in an auto-rickshaw in the guise of transporting essential commodities from Kagaznagar to Sirpur (T) town on Wednesday evening.

According to sources, Sirpur sub-inspector D. Ramesh, during vehicle checking conducted at Peddabanda village, stopped an auto coming from Kagaznagar town and found Rs.56.48 lakh in cash covered by cartons of edible oil.

The police seized the vehicle and handed over the cash to the election flying squad headed by Raghunath. Police were investing to know about the owner of the seized cash.

The auto driver reportedly revealed the names of two persons belonging to Kagaznagar who asked him to deliver the goods to a kirana shop in Sirpur (T).
