Show cause notice issued to Raja Singh over his comments during Mumbai rally

HYDERABAD: Mangalhat police of Hyderabad city issued a show cause notice to Goshamahal T MLA Raja Singh in connection with his speech in a recent event in Mumbai. Terming the speech as violation of the high court guidelines, police sought explanation from him.

The notice said that Raja Singh’s speech during a rally at Dadar, Mumbai on Sunday, January 29 and his comments on demand for law on Love Jihad, Cow slaughter, conversions, are very much provocative.

This speech with provocative comments is potential to provoke one particular religion and it is a violation of the conditions imposed by the high court, police said in the notice dated January 30.

They directed him to give a reply stating why action should not be initiated against him for violating the conditions imposed by the high court.
