Hyderabad Police Busts Drug Peddling Duo Ahead of New Year Celebrations

Hyderabad: Task Force sleuths of Hyderabad police’s West Zone nabbed two drug peddlers identified as Sureleela Naveen Sai, an engineering graduate, and Borra Veera Sai Teja while trying to sell drugs near Tonique Liquor Mart, Jubilee Hills, and seized MDMA, Cocaine and brown sugar, all worth around Rs 7.50 lakh from them.

The duo procured the drugs from their Delhi-based supplier and were planning to sell them during the New Year celebration in Hyderabad, the police found.

Police said Naveen Sai, hailing from Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, completed Mechanical engineering from a private University in Punjab State in 2019. While studying B Tech, he got addicted to drugs along with his roommates.

To meet his drug needs, he obtained a loan from Loan Apps. Meanwhile, he also started facing issues from private financiers in his native country.

To overcome this financial crisis and to make quick money for his drug needs, he turned into a peddler and started supplying drugs to users in Hyderabad.
