Bengaluru Rave party: Tollywood Actors test positive for Narcotic Consumption

Hyderabad-based cine actors and actresses were found positive for narcotic consumption

Hyderabad: Bengaluru police Thursday arrested five people for their involvement in the rave party case and seized numerous drugs like MDMA, cocaine, and marijuana. The police also tested 98 party goers for drugs and narcotics.

The FIR registered by police named rave party’s head Vasu as accused number 1, party organiser Arun Kumar as A-2, drug handlers Naga Babu and Ranadhir Babu as A-3 and A-4, Mohammed Abubaker Siddiq as A-5, GR Farms owner and Concorde Group’s founder Gopala Reddy as A-6, 68 male party goers as A-7 and 30 female party goers as A-8.

While Vasu, Arun Kumar, Naga Babu, Ranadhir Babu, and Mohammed Abubaker Siddiq were arrested, farm owner Gopala Reddy is still at large. Reports said, of 98 party goers, 86 have tested positive for narcotic traces. Hyderabad-based cine actors and actresses were also found positive for narcotic consumption.

The police seized 14.40 grams of MDMA pills, 1.16 grams of MDMA crystals, 6 grams of hydro-marijuana, 5 grams of cocaine, and one Rs500 currency note coated with cocaine on the farm premises. Officials also seized five mobile phones, one Volkswagen car and one Land Rover car, and DJ accessories, all worth Rs1.5 crore.

The event named “Vasu’s Birthday, Sunset to Sunrise Victory”, started at 5 pm on May 19 and was set to go on till 7 am on May 20.

Officials raided the farmhouse at 3 am where they saw a musical set up in the middle of the farm house’s garden along with heavy DJ instruments and accessories.

They also saw people drinking, dancing and consuming drugs. Vasu informed the police that he organised his birthday party in Gopala Reddy’s farmhouse who was a family friend.

Officials said Arun Kumar organised the rave party while Naga Babu and Ranadhir Babu arranged the drugs. The drugs were found in the possession of Naga Babu, Ranadhir Babu, and Mohd. Abubaker Siddiq, and also in Ranadhir Babu’s car.

All 103 attendees were tested for narcotics and were left with notices.

A total of 59 men tested positive for drugs while blood samples of 27 women tested positive.
