Suryapet: Cyber crooks created two fake Facebook profiles in the name of the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Suryapet and requested money through the chat.
Several people, who added as friends to the Facebook page, started receiving messages for money saying that some of his friends had urgent needs. Following it, some of the people who received the messages, brought the matter to the notice of B.K. Rahul Hegde, the SP of Suryapet.
Rahul informed that a case was filed on the fake Facebook profiles and an investigation was taken up by the cybercrime police to trace the persons involved in the fraud.
He also asked the people not to respond to friend requests for money from any of the Facebook accounts in the name of SP Suryapet.
