Hyderabad: A 29-year-old man killed his girlfriend with a wrench in the middle of a road in Vasai, Mumbai on Tuesday.
The CCTV footage of Rohit Yadhav, 29, brutally killing his girlfriend, Aarti Jadhav, 22, with a wrench in the middle of a road in Chinchpada, Vasai has surfaced on the internet.
The footage showed the man came running from behind before striking the girl with the wrench on the girl's head which knocked her down. He continued striking the girl multiple times.
The video showed a man attempting to save her, who was knocked unconscious and was lying on the road. The man who attempted to step in was first disregarded by the attacker, who then threatened him with a wrench. After a while, a throng gathered around the location, but nobody made an attempt to challenge or apprehend the assailant who was continuously striking the girl with the wrench.
This deadly attack was the result of a two-year relationship breakup. In the video, the assailant can be heard shouting "Kyu kiya aisa mere saath" which translates into "Why did you do this to me?" before attacking her again and throwing away the wrench.
After learning about the event, Waliv Police hurried to the scene and arrested the man. The woman's body was shifted to the nearby hospital.
The couple, who lived in the nearby town of Nalasopara, had been dating for more than two years, according to an initial investigation, but Rohit had a suspicion that she was also having an affair elsewhere.
The horrific incident was captured by a passer-by which can be used as a piece of crucial evidence. A bystander caught the horrifying incident on camera, which is an important piece of evidence. According to reports, the girl was found in a pool of blood, and it is suspected that she died on the spot.
