The ward boy posted the video as his WhatsApp status, where it was viewed by many people. This sparked an outrage and compelled the health department to investigate the situation.
The incident took place at Hardiya-based Based Care Multispecialty Hospital and Eye Center where the woman was admitted before the surgery.
In the video, the woman is shown lying naked in the operating theatre. There are rumors that the ward boy was helping the doctors with the surgery. Those who watched the video also posted it on social media, calling for the ward boy to be held accountable for his despicable behavior.
After the video went out on social media, the ward boy allegedly said that he carried out the woman's surgery at the Basti Care Multispecialty Hospital and Eye Centre, on the orders of director Dr. Sanjay Gautam.
When reached by an NTF, Sanjay Gautam, however, denied knowledge of the occurrence and stated that the hospital administration would look into it and take appropriate action against the ward boy for his shameful behavior.
The health agency has declared that anybody found guilty will not be spared and has assembled a team to look into the matter. The department made it very evident that neglect of any kind would not be accepted and that those found guilty would be subjected to the worst penalties possible for their shameful behavior.
