HAML team gets a feel of facilities at Delhi airport metro
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML) managing director N.V.S. Reddy and his team on Saturday visited Delhi and studied the facilities and operations in the national capital’s metro rail system to the airport. The Delhi Airport Metro line is 23-km long of which 16 km runs underground, with eight stations; it connects the airport with the New Delhi railway and metro stations.
Reddy and his team first visited the underground section in the airport premises and looked into the facilities and operations related to transfer of baggage to the airport. Later, travelling by a metro train to the New Delhi station, the HAML team had a closer look at the check-in facility. After going through the maintenance depot and other facilities at the airport metro, they had a first-hand look at the ongoing works of the regional rapid transit system.
