PM received felicitations from murder accused in Karnataka, alleges Congress
BENGALURU: Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigned in the Channapatna Assembly constituency of Ramnagar district and he was greeted by Bharatiya Janata Party leaders including C.P. Yogeshwar, party nominee for the constituency.
Congress party alleged, during his campaign in Chennapatna, PM Modi was felicitated by a rowdy-sheeter Muddu Krishna who is an accused in a double-murder case.
The Congress party shared a picture of the rowdy-sheeter Muddu Krishna giving a memento to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on dais in Channapatna.
In the felicitations, Modi received Mysuru Peta (turban), a garland and he received a specially made Channapatna toy.
The Congress party took to social media and accused the BJP saying that the BJP is the only party where rowdy-sheeters and murder accused get to ascend dais to meet the Prime Minister.
There was no response from the leaders of BJP over the Congress allegations that a double-murder accused felicitated the Prime Minister.
It may be recalled here that Prime Minister in his visit to Mandya a month back was seen meeting Fighter Ravi, a rowdy-sheeter with folded hands. Modi with folded hands before a rowdy-sheeter drew criticism from the Congress party.
Fighter Ravi was inducted into BJP and he was an aspirant to contest Nagamangala Assembly seat in Mandya. After drawing criticism over his meeting with Modi, BJP denied him the ticket and a disgruntled Fighter Ravi quit the party.
