Ballari: The three main accused in the 2008 Gujarat serial blast case have been produced before a Ballari court in connection with charges pertaining to the theft of a bike and car on Monday.
Amid tight police security, Gujarat police brought the three accused terrorists, Asadullah, Rajuddin Sasir and Sheikh Ahmmed and produced them before the local CJM court.
Having heard the case, the judge has posted the next hearing to August 7th ,8th and 9th and till then, the accused would be remanded in Ballari central prison.
According to police sources, Asadullah, a native of Hosapete town in the district had stolen a bike and a car from Koppal and a case had been registered against him in Koppal police station.
Asadullah, in association with Rajuddin Sasir and Sheikh Ahmmed had allegedly used the stolen bike and car for terrorist activities.
The trial of this theft case should have been conducted at Koppal court, however, on directions of HC, the trial has been shifted to Ballari court since there was no central prison in Koppal to remand the accused terrorists under tight vigilance.
