Bengaluru: Universe comes alive at Vigyan Samagama
Bengaluru: The Andromeda galaxy from Hollywood flick 'Men In Black', TMT, the 30-metre telescope that can give 10 times more simulation resolution than Hubble Space telescope and Keck, capturing of images of celestial bodies as far as 13.7 billion light years away from earth were some of the audio visual presentations on astrophysics at Vigyan Samagama expo at the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum in city.
The other presentations included research on life elsewhere in the universe, discovering the origin of planets, stars, galaxies and blackholes, creation of a complete analogue free and super swift communication network, single super penetrable particles smaller than atoms and even electrons and applications of gravitational waves showcased India's contribution to the research at global levels.
The expo also showcased India's contribution in fundamental science and research and provided an interactive platform for all mega-science projects with students, academia and industry. All these projects work on cutting-edge technologies which the Indian institutions would be exposed to for developing its industrial capacity. The themed galleries of posters, models and exhibits, informative audio-visual content and swank interactive kiosks attracted all age groups from school and college students to the elders with scientific temper.
