Tirumala to celebrate twin Brahmotsavams in grand manner
Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer A.V. Dharma Reddy on Thursday said extensive arrangements are being made to accommodate the large influx of devotees for the upcoming twin Brahmotsavams in September and October this year.
He participated in a meeting at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala and reviewed the arrangements being made for the Brahmotsavams. Officials, including district collector K. Venkata Ramana Reddy, SP P. Parameswara Reddy, Tirupati municipal commissioner D. Haritha and heads of all TTD departments, attended the meeting.
Addressing media later, Dharma Reddy said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will offer Pattu Vastrams to Lord Venkateswara Swamy on behalf of the state government on the inaugural day of the annual Brahmotsavams on September 18. Additionally, he will inaugurate the Srinivasa Sethu, the hostel building of S.V. Arts College in Tirupati, apart from several other rest houses at Tirumala.
During the nine days of the festival, all Vahana Sevas will take place in the mornings and evenings. The prestigious Garuda Seva will commence only from 7 p.m. onwards. To ensure equal opportunities, all privileged darshans, including those for senior citizens, physically challenged individuals, and parents with infants, have been cancelled for this period. No recommendation letters for VIP Break Darshan will be entertained during the event. The aim is to provide darshan to a maximum number of common devotees.
The TTD executive officer said as part of a daily special initiative, 1,000 devotees from SC / ST / BC and fisherfolk colonies, where TTD has established temples with Srivani Trust funds, will be provided the Brahmotsavams Darshan. They will be provided free transport, Annaprasadam and accommodation facilities.
District collector Venkataramana Reddy said a health camp will be opened to take care of any illness among devotees. SP Parameswara Reddy said adequate security arrangements are being made during the Brahmotsavams. Municipal commissioner. Haritha assured that adequate sanitary workers will be deployed at railway station, bus station and other crowded areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
