Viveka Murder Accused Objects to Sunitha Reddy's Interferences

Dr Suneetha filed an implead petition requesting the court not to grant bail to Yadav

Hyderabad: Sunil Yadav, an accused in the Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder case, complained to the Telangana High Court that Dr Narreddy Suneetha, daughter of the slain leader, was going overboard in the CBI’s investigation and judicial trials.

He alleged that Dr Suneetha was filing the implead petitions in every case related to her father’s death by claiming herself to be the victim and appearing in the court hall and through her advocates in every stage of the proceedings. This was causing prejudice against the accused in the investigation and in judicial proceedings.

Yadav accused the CBI of intentionally not raising any objections or filing any counters to her petitions. Yadav argued that Dr Suneetha was not a victim but a beneficiary as she did not have a cordial relationship with her father after he married Shaik Shameem and the couple had a son. The slain leader wanted to give Rs 8 crore to Shameem, Yadav said.

T.L. Nayan Kumar, counsel for Sunil Yadav, submitted these arguments before the court in a bail petition filed by his client. Dr Suneetha filed an implead petition requesting the court not to grant bail to Yadav.

Justice K. Lakshman directed the CBI to submit its contention and adjourned to September 8.
