Indian Navy Intensifies \'Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta\' Campaign, Pledging for a Cleaner India
Visakhapatnam: The Indian Navy has intensified its efforts in the Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta campaign, reaffirming its dedication to a cleaner environment and realization of Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a garbage-free India.
This nationwide initiative has seen multiple Swachhata drives by Naval units, highlighting the Indian Navy's commitment to the society.
Naval personnel here joined hands with the district administration and the local community. Notably, beach cleanup drives were organized with 800 Naval personnel at RK Beach, 400 personnel at Bheemli Beach, and 700 personnel at Yarada Beach, showcasing a commitment to preserving coastal areas.
The campaign's momentum was bolstered by the participation of Naval personnel from ships and establishments, along with their families, all led by Sameer Saxena, Chief of Staff. The massive cleanliness drive at RK Beach commenced with volunteers taking the Swachhata Pledge, emphasizing the importance of a clean and green environment.
Other drives under the 'Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta' campaign were conducted across various locations in the city, encompassing railway tracks, roadsides, orphanage homes, schools etc.
