Naidu to stage stir in Central Prison to protest his arrest
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to sit on a protest in the the Rajahmundry Central Prison against his “illegal arrest” in the AP skill development scam on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti.
TD AP chief K. Atchannaidu in a statement issued here on Saturday said that Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari had decided to hold a protest on Monday and had given a call to all the party leaders, supporters and the general public to express their solidarity in all Assembly segments.
Atchannaidu said that he was appealing to Naidu in his personal capacity to hold the protest in the jail, and sounded confident that the TD chief would do so. He said that the TD would continue to stage a series of programmes to express their protest until Naidu was released from the jail.
