Adani Gangavaram Port adds new cargo equipment
Hyderabad: Adani Gangavaram Port said it enhanced the infrastructure facilities at its premises by inducting a new cargo handling equipment. The step is a part of the plan to enhance capacity and productivity at the port. It spent Rs six crore. The new equipment will increase efficiency and cut the turnaround time.
The port has already inducted new railway locomotives, warehousing, road and railway infrastructure with investment of Rs 45 crores in this financial Year. The railway facilities will allow direct handling of the entire rake at the warehouse and storage without any inter-carting. It is investing in an integrated warehouse to provide handling and storage facilities for agri and fertilizer cargoes at an estimated investment of over Rs 275 crore, likely to be operational in 2024.
