Union Budget 2018: Parents for strict fee regulation
Hyderabad: This Union Budget continues the recent trend of tinkering at the edges of problems that confront education. The education sector has got no benefits on the ground, say parents.
Parents said they were ready to pay more as cess, but expected strict regulation of school fees in return.
Mr Ashish Naredi, a parent, said, “The government’s ability to deliver the desired results continues to be a major problem. Also, the needs of education are such that it requires a much larger allocation in the Budget. One can only hope for radical improvement in both the allocation and also the delivery mechanisms of the government.”
Education expert Manek Daruvala said it was disappointing that the government had done nothing to provide relief to parents for the fees paid.
