Kannur: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) conducted a one-day workshop on No Objection Certificate (Height Clearance) with respect to constructions in the vicinity of Kannur International Airport.
Sanjay Kar (AGM, ATM) and Sanjeev Shah (DGM, CNS) conducted the workshop as part of the Obstacle Monitoring and Control functions at the airport. The workshop provided insights on regulations regarding construction within a 20 km radius of the airport. Height restrictions when erecting new buildings, permissions to be obtained and the local body certification procedures to be followed were covered in detail. Officials from the Air Traffic Management (ATM) department of AAI, representatives from the local governing bodies (46 panchayats in Kannur), and officials from Kannur International Airport Ltd took part .
