Leopard mauls student in Mysuru
BENGALURU: In a span of little more than a month, T. Narsipura taluk in Mysuru registered its second death owing to a leopard attack and the latest victim to a leopard attack is Meghana, 21, a student.
It is said that Meghana was attacked by a leopard while she was in the backyard of her house at S. Kebbehundi village of T. Narsipura taluk on Thursday evening. After the attack, locals and family members rushed her to a nearby hospital but she died unable to respond to the treatment. Meghana was studying in B.Com, final year at Government College in T. Narsipura taluk. She is the daughter of Rajamani and Ramesh Naik.
In the first attack by a leopard in the taluk, a resident of Madgar Lingayyanahundi, Manjunath (18), a student of Maharaja College in Mysuru, was killed near Mallappa Hill where he along with his friends went to offer prayers at Muddu Maramma Temple. The incident happened on October 31.
