Bhopal: Barely 48 hours after he was shunted out of post of director general of police (DGP) of Madhya Pradesh, 1983 batch IPS officer Rishi Kumar Shukla was on Saturday appointed director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The “pleasant” news was broken to him in the afternoon when Mr Shukla who has been posted as chairman of State Police Housing Corporation on January 31, was touring Pachmarhi, a famous tourist spot of Madhya Pradesh, sources close to him told this newspaper.
“I am happy with my new assignment. I will try to give my best”, he told the media in his reaction to his new posting.
