Woman who complained against Sasikala Pushpa missing
Tirunelveli: One of the two sisters who filed a harassment complaint against the Rajya Sabha MP, Sasikala Pushpa last year, is now believed missing.
The two sisters, Banumathi and Jancy Rani, daughters of Karuppasamy of Anaikudi near Thisayanvilai, lodged a complaint on August 8, 2016 with the Thoothukudi district SP that their master, Sasikala Pushpa, her husband, son and mother harassed them sexually, when they were working as servant maids at the Rajya Sabha MP's Chennai residence.
This case was registered by the Puthukottai All Women police and to escape being arrested in the case, Ms. Sasikala Pushpa, her husband and son obtained anticipatory bails from the Madurai bench of the Madras High court.
However, in a sudden turn, the two sisters withdrew their complaint against the women Rajya Sabha member last week. Since the complaint was withdrawn, Banumathi is now said to be missing, according to her younger sister, Jancy Rani. The latter has preferred a complaint on Thursday at the Thisayanvilai police station seeking to find her missing sister.
