YSRC flays case on Jagan Mohan Reddy
Visakhapatnam: The state government has framed false cases against YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for questioning the government’s apathy in treating the victims of the bus accident and irregularities in operating the private buses, said YSRC district president Gudivada Amarnath. On Thursday, the district YSRC unit has staged protests at various places of the city and the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Amarnath commented that the state government has been trying to protect the culprits of the bus accident. “The officials, without providing any information to Mr Reddy, made him irritated and again filed false cases. Is it wrong to be taking the side of bus accident victims?” questioned Mr Amarnath. The YSRC leaders demanded the government to provide an ex gratia of Rs 20 lakh to the family of the deceased victims. YSRC Visakhapatnam North Coordinator Tynala Vijaykumar had staged a protest near the MRO office in Seethammadhara of the city.
On the other hand, YSRC Vizag East Coordinator Vamsikrishna Srinivas demanded the government to immediately withdraw the cases. “No TD leader has reached the accident spot other than Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy and again government has imposed false cases against Mr Reddy for fighting for the poor people. No poll promise has been delivered by the TD,” said Mr Srinivas. Kola Guruvulu, John Wesley, Koyya Prasad Reddy, Satti Ramakrishna Reddy and other leaders were among those who participated in the protests.
