Hyderabad: After providing free parking zones on the main roads, the Madhapur traffic police will be providing similar zones on internal roads.
On the directions of Cyberabad police commissioner C.V. Anand, the traffic police has provided parking space at nine places. Vehicles can be parked free beside Madhapur Pride Honda, NIFT old gate, Image garden lane at Madhapur, Aavas Hotel at Madhapur, beside Hyderabad House in Madhapur, beside Continental Hospital at Nanakramguda, on the road from Inorbit Mall to Raheja Mind Space, beside Ratnadeep supermarket at Kothaguda and beside Harsha Toyota at Kondapur.
Madhapur traffic inspector T. Narsing Rao said, “We have been working on the matter for two months. Now, we are identifying internal roads. Mostly, we will choose internal roads where government institutions are located,” the inspector said.
Software engineer T Krishnam Raju from Kondapur wanted more. “We are facing traffic problems due to illegal parking on Madhapur main road, Kothaguda junction and Kondapur crossroads. The traffic police should identify free parking places at these locations,” he said.
The Hyderabad traffic police has successfully marked out free parking zones on several roads in the twin cities. During the annual exhibition at Nampally, the city traffic police provided free parking facility for the first time.
