Hyderabad: The BC welfare Associations questioned the Congress Manifesto on Tuesday in the city regarding the absence of 50 per cent political reservation for Backward classes as promised by Congress chief Rahul Gandhi.
Members from the BC welfare association said, “Even after 70 years of independence, there is no justice to BCs and none of the political parties addressed this issue. Though Mr Gandhi had mentioned the same in many meetings, it had not materialised in manifestoes. All the parties are announcing political reservation to women but are ignoring BCs.”
Though the BJP had made a BC candidate Narendra Modi as the PM, they did not clarify on BC quota.
