HYDERABAD: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) said it had produced 671 lakh tonnes of coal in the 2022-23 financial year, the highest ever in its 130-year history.
SCCL chairman and managing director N. Sridhar appreciated the SCCL staff for the achievement.
SCCL also set a record by removing 418 million cubic metres of overburden in
coal mines.
Sridhar said that coordination between workers and officials had
yielded good results and asked the staff to achieve 750 lakh tonnes of coal
production in 2023-24.
