Disproporation assets case: ACB searches offices, residences of two officials
Vijayawada: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) carried out simultaneous searches on offices and residences of two officials in Kurnool and Vijayawada in two disproportionate assets cases on Tuesday.
ACB teams searched the office, residence and five other places linked to the divisional cooperative office assistant registrar, Premarapogu Sujatha, in Kurnool district. The searches were held simultaneously.
ACB seized assets of Sujata including a G+2 house in Sriram Nagar Colony, a G+1 house in Ashok Nagar Colony, a house in Kasturi Nagar Colony, a G+1 shop-cum-house in Budhawarpet, another shop in Budhawarpet in Kurnool, 2.50 acres of farm land in Sunkesula village of Kurnool mandal, eight house sites worth ₹23.16 lakh in a suburbs of Kurnool town, some 40 tolas of gold, a four-wheeler, a two-wheeler, electronic gadgets, household appliances and cash of ₹8.21 lakh.
The searches in the residence of the official were continuing in the evening.
In a related development in Vijayawada, ACB carried out a search at the office of the sub registrar, Patamata, and residence and other places belonging to the official, in a disproportionate assets case. The searches were continuing till late in the evening. The ACB was yet to reveal details of the disproportionate assets of the sub-registrar.
