People are waiting for action against illegal structures in Amaravati
Amaravati: The people are interestingly waiting for the takeover over the 26 illegal structures by the government situated on the banks of Krishna river on the Karakatta. Further they are asking the government to use the structures for to be shifted government offices.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu repeatedly stating about the lands between Krishna river and Karakatta in the Guntur district are government lands and the government will take those. Defending about his stay in the Lingamaneni guest house Mr. Naidu stating that the guest house belongs to the government so he is staying and there is nothing wrong.
Besides this, the Telugu Desam distributed pamphlets about taking over of the structures on the Karkatta by the TD government. The public are objecting constructing of huge buildings in river conservation area and staying of the CM in the guest house which was constructed on the riverbed would give chance for more violations.
Mentioning about the difficulties of to be shifted government departments for office spaces, they are demanding using those structures as offices for the government departments. According to the norms, no one will be allowed to construct big RCC permanent constructions and Guntur district officials had identified 26 illegal constructions on the banks of Krishna river on the Karakatta road.
The Lingamaneni guest house, Iskcon temple, BJP MP, Gokaraju Gangaraju’s guest house, Ganapathi Sachidananda Ashram, Chiguru Ashram, Vedadri Maharsi Tapovan and others are identified as illegal construction, issued notices but later forget the matter.
CPM senior leader and Capital Committee convener, Ch. Babu Rao alleged that the officials are removing houses of common on the banks of Krishna river at Bhavanipuram, Seethanagaram and other areas for Krishna Pushakaralu but they did not remove the illegal structures which are obstruction for Push-kar ghats.
He said that the to be shifted government departments are facing difficulties to get space for their offices and demanded using the 26 illegal structures as office accommodation for to be shifted government department. He alleged that the government is trying to save the illegal structures belong to TD, BJP leaders and wealthy, demanded immediate acquisition of the illegal structures and to release factsheet about the status of illegal structures.
APCC official state spokesperson, Kolanukonda Sivaji alleged that the government implementing ‘divide and rule’ policy for common and rich classes by sparing the illegal structures. He demanded taking over all the illegal structures immediately.
