Formation Day: Nation inspired by Telangana, says K Chandrasekhar Rao
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday said the Telangana state model of development and welfare schemes was inspiring the rest of the nation. The state had become a destination for officials and elected representatives from other states to study its model and replicate its schemes and programmes.
The TS government is the only one to implement 40 welfare schemes by spending over Rs 40,000 crore per year for the welfare of the poor and the downtrodden, the Chief Minister said.
Addressing the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds, Mr Rao cited Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, 24x7 free power supply to agriculture, Rythu Bandhu, sheep distribution, KCR Kits for pregnant women, 2BHK houses for poor, hundreds of residential schools, colleges for BCs, SCs, STs, minorities, Haritha Haram, TS-iPASS, T-Hub, SHE teams.
These initiatives had become a role model for all other states, the Chief Minister said.
