On January 3, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional answer keys for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2023. Aspirants can access the answer keys on the official examination website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. According to the official notice, candidates dissatisfied with the provisional key have until January 5 to submit objections.
Candidates expressing dissatisfaction with the answer key can challenge it by paying a nonrefundable processing fee of ₹200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) per questioned item, as outlined by the NTA. The NTA stated, "Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The key finalized by the Experts after the challenge will be final."
The December examination encompassed 83 subjects and took place in 292 cities nationwide from December 6 to 19, attracting a total of 9,45,918 candidates.
