Revanth Picks Clean Trio' for CMO in Bureaucrat Rejig
Hyderabad: Continuing to uphold the clean image of his office, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy picked three officials, including a group I officer, known for their integrity for the CMO.
The 1991 batch Indian Forest Service officer G. Chandrasekhar Reddy, who is presently heading Telangana State Forest Development Corporation, was appointed secretary and joint IG of stamps and registration. Vemula Srinivasulu was appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister.
Both Chandrasekhar Reddy and Srinivasulu, according to officials, are workaholics and honest. Sources said Srinivasulu was initially given a crucial task during the transition of the land records management system to Dharani, but the previous regime quickly sent him back to the parent department after he started pointing out shortfalls in Dharani.
The Chief Minister also picked Telangana Foods managing director S. Sangeetha Satyanarayana, daughter of former MP Sarve Satyanarayana, as joint secretary in CMO. She also has a clean record, according to CMO sources.
The state government gave Rahul Bojja the crucial irrigation department while Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka, who, until now, was sidelined, was posted as principal secretary, mines and geology. Ahmed Nadeem was posted as planning principal secretary and S. Krishna Aditya was posted in his place as director of labour.
The new government shunted high-profile bureaucrat Smita Sabharwal, who wielded power as secretary to former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, to a less significant post, as member-secretary in the TS Finance Commission. She was also removed from the post of secretary of rural development.
Other postings include A. Sharath (secretary, tribal welfare department), D. Divya (director of municipal administration and state nodal officer, Prajavani), D. Harichandana (Nalgonda collector), Bharati Hollikeri (director, archaeology), K. Shashanka (Rangareddy collector), Adwait Kumar Singh (Mahbubabad collector), Chittem Lakshmi (managing director, TS Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Ltd), Aisha Masrat Khanam (secretary, TS Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society), Valluru Kranthi (Sangareddy collector), B.M. Santhosh (collector, Jogulamba Gadwal), Abhilasha Abhinav (zonal commissioner, GHMC) and P. Kadhiravan (additional collector local bodies, Hyderabad).
B. Venkatesham, principal secretary of the education department has been given additional charge of principal secretary, BC welfare department.
Sandeep Kumar Sultania, principal secretary, PR & RD department was placed in FAC of the post of secretary, RWS in the PR & RD department. Jyoti Buddha Prakash, commissioner, transport, has been given additional charge of member secretary, TSPCB.
M. Raghunandana Rao, secretary, the agriculture & cooperation department, was given additional charge of secretary, political, General Administration Department.
M. Prashanti, additional secretary, EFS&T department, was given additional charge as director, AYUSH.
S.D. Krishna Bhaskar, special secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister, has also been made special secretary, finance and planning departments.
R.V. Karnan, director, health & family welfare, was given the additional charge of managing director, Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSTDC).
M. Haritha, joint secretary, education department, has been given additional charge of director for cooperation and registrar of cooperative societies.
